FG Completes ₦16.4bn Constituency Road Projects in Katsina

The Federal Government has completed eleven constituency road projects worth over ₦16.4 billion across Katsina State, aimed at improving transportation, boosting economic activities, and enhancing rural connectivity.
The Federal Controller of Works in Katsina State, Engineer Mohammed Idris Matinja, disclosed this while briefing journalists, explaining that the projects were facilitated by members of the National Assembly to accelerate development in their respective constituencies.

According to him, the completed projects include the Bakori–Dabja Road, Funtua–Malumfashi Road, Marabar Maska–Tandama Road, Funtua–Dayi Road, Tarmamawa–Unguwar Isah Road, Maimagata–Kunkumi Road, and Dahiru Village–Tafoki Road, among others.
Matinja also highlighted ongoing federally funded projects, including the 17.3-kilometre Unguwar Iliya–Bagudu Road, the 153.8-kilometre Zaria–Hunkuyi–Dabai Road, the 29.92-kilometre Kano–Kazaure–Mai’adua Road, the rehabilitation of the 50-kilometre Funtua–Dabdume Road, and the 26-kilometre Kukar Babangida–Gangara Road.
He noted that the Federal Government is collaborating with the Katsina State Government to complete the Kano–Katsina Road, adding that compensation payments have slowed progress on the project.
The Controller assured residents that his office remains committed to ensuring the timely completion of all ongoing federal road projects in the state and commended the collaboration between the Federal Government and Katsina lawmakers in delivering critical constituency infrastructure.
