Inuwa Rejoins APC, Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Polls

Former Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Dr. Mustapha M. Inuwa, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to close ranks and work together to secure victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Inuwa made the appeal during a reception organised by the Zawiyyah Foundation in Katsina to formally welcome him back to the APC.

Describing the APC as his political home, Dr. Inuwa said his return reflected a long-standing political journey built on decades of service, experience and enduring relationships in Katsina State. He urged party members to set aside actions capable of weakening the party and instead concentrate on strengthening its structure and electoral prospects.
“We do not have time for anything that will undermine our collective interest. Our concern should be how to win elections and ensure the success of the APC,” he said.
He pledged his unwavering support for Governor Dikko Umar Radda and called on party members at all levels to work together as one united family to consolidate the party’s achievements.
Dr. Inuwa also commended the Radda administration for its developmental programmes and interventions across the state, noting that the initiatives had continued to earn public recognition and appreciation.
Speaking at the event, Governor Dikko Umar Radda described Dr. Inuwa’s return as a significant boost to the unity and strength of the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Governor stressed that politics should be driven by service to the people rather than personal interests, adding that citizens were increasingly evaluating leaders based on their performance and commitment to development.
Governor Radda recalled his over three-decade relationship with Dr. Inuwa and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering meaningful development across the 34 local government areas of Katsina State.
He urged APC members to remain united and mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, himself and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Zawiyyah Foundation, Hon. Hamisu Hara, said the reception was organised to formally receive Dr. Inuwa back into the APC and acknowledge his contributions to the political development of Katsina State.
Hon. Hara highlighted the Radda administration’s achievements in security, agriculture and grassroots development, including the establishment of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, the Community Development Programme and various agricultural support initiatives.
According to him, the administration’s commitment to bringing development closer to the people has continued to positively impact communities across the state, while emphasising that unity among party members remains essential for future electoral success.
The reception attracted the State APC Chairman, Hon. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, government officials, political leaders, local government chairmen and other party stakeholders.
