Jigawa Mourns Long-Serving Golden Stars Team Manager, Alhaji Dodo Isa Hadejia

Hundreds of Muslim faithful from across Nigeria gathered in Hadejia, Jigawa State, on Monday to pay their last respects to the longest-serving Team Manager of Jigawa Golden Stars Football Club, Late Alhaji Dodo Isa Hadejia, who passed away at the age of 61.
In accordance with Islamic rites, the funeral prayer was held at the deceased’s residence in Dalla Quarters, Hadejia Local Government Area. The Janazah prayer was led by Imam Muhammad Aminu, after which the late football administrator was laid to rest at the Hadejia Kudu Graveyard.
The late Alhaji Dodo Isa is survived by his wife, children, and other family members.
The funeral attracted several dignitaries from the sports and government sectors, including the Jigawa State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Sagiru Musa Ahmad; Director of the Jigawa State Sports Council, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Ibrahim Gumel; Chairman of the Kano State Football Association and Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan; former Director of the Jigawa State Sports Council, Alhaji Shaaibu Hadejia; Vice Chairman of the Jigawa State Football Association, Alhaji Barde Zakka; National Ex-Officio of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for the North-West, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu; officials and players of Jigawa Golden Stars Football Club, as well as numerous friends, associates, and sympathizers.
Speaking shortly after the burial, Commissioner Alhaji Sagiru Musa Ahmad, on behalf of the Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. He described the late Dodo Isa as a dedicated and hardworking sports administrator who devoted his life to the development of football and sports in Jigawa State and Nigeria.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
Also speaking, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, MON, represented by NFF Board Member Alhaji Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan, described the death of Alhaji Dodo Isa as a great loss to the Nigerian football family.
He noted that the late football administrator made invaluable contributions to the growth of football over the years and that the vacuum created by his passing would be difficult to fill. He urged younger football administrators to emulate the exemplary qualities of dedication, humility, and commitment exhibited by the late Dodo Isa throughout his lifetime.
The NFF President also prayed for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased and for his admission into Jannatul Firdaus.
