A delegation of youths and social media influencers drawn from the old APC across Kano State’s 44 Local Government Areas has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for allocating land to young people, describing the initiative as a major step toward youth empowerment and economic development.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations officer Deputy Governor’s office Malam Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu stated that, The delegation made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, at his office to express appreciation to the Governor for the gesture and to thank the Deputy Governor for facilitating the exercise.
KANO ALLOCATES LAND TO 1,000 YOUNG PEOPLE ACROSS 44 LGAsÂ
Speaking while receiving the delegation on Thursday, Deputy Governor Garo expressed delight over the visit and reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s commitment to implementing programmes that improve the welfare and economic prospects of young people.
He explained that the land allocation exercise was conducted in strict compliance with established procedures, assuring those who were yet to benefit that they would be considered in subsequent phases.
“The exercise was conducted in strict adherence to established procedures, and for those yet to benefit, they should exercise patience and rest assured that they will be included in subsequent allocations. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration remains committed to ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries are accommodated,” the Deputy Governor stated.
Alhaji Garo also advised beneficiaries against selling the allocated plots without genuine reasons, urging them instead to utilise the land for meaningful development and investment in line with the government’s objective of empowering youths.
He further assured the delegation that he would convey their message of appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, whom he described as a leader committed to youth development and inclusive governance.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Salman Rabiu Gwarzo, said the visit was to convey the gratitude of youths from the old APC to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf through the Deputy Governor for fulfilling his promise of accommodating them in the land allocation programme.
Comrade Gwarzo noted that youths from the old APC had made significant contributions to the growth and success of the party across the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State. He added that the Governor had continued to recognise and integrate members of the old APC into his administration, beginning with councillors and now extending the gesture to youths who played vital roles in strengthening the party at the grassroots.
He also commended Deputy Governor Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo for facilitating the allocation process, noting that many beneficiaries received plots in the Dawanau and Panisau Layouts.
