Kano Mass Education Agency Graduates 50 Students, Offers Empowerment Support in Takai

The Kano State Agency for Mass Education has graduated 50 beneficiaries from its literacy and skills acquisition programme in Takai Local Government Area as part of efforts to promote education, self-reliance, and community development.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Binta Abubakar, disclosed that the graduates were not only trained in various skills but were also provided with start-up capital to support their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Dr. Binta explained that the initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to expanding access to mass education and empowering residents, especially those in underserved communities, with practical knowledge and economic opportunities.

Muktar Ibrahim Faruruwa, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Salisu Isa Alame, commended the Executive Secretary for her dedication and impactful programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people.

He described the initiative as a significant intervention that would contribute to poverty reduction and enhance economic independence among beneficiaries in the local government area.

The event further underscored the Kano State Government’s continued commitment to promoting literacy, empowering citizens, and encouraging sustainable development at the grassroots level.
