Governor Yusuf Holds Closed-Door Meeting with Sarkin Dawaki Babba

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reportedly held a closed-door meeting with Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan’agundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba and Senior Counsellor to Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, amid ongoing developments surrounding the Kano Emirate dispute.
According to sources familiar with the meeting, the engagement took place at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja following an invitation extended to Dan’agundi by the Governor. The meeting reportedly lasted for nearly two hours.
Details of the discussions were not made public, and the source, who requested anonymity because they were not authorised to speak on the matter, did not disclose the issues addressed during the meeting.
Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the Kano State Government and Alhaji Dan’agundi were not immediately successful as of the time of filing this report.
The meeting comes against the backdrop of renewed attention on the Kano Emirate dispute following recent developments involving traditional activities in Kano. It also follows a recent social media video in which Dan’agundi described Governor Yusuf as someone he holds in high regard.
