The Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) has conducted a post-funding verification exercise at the School of Health Technology, Bebeji, to assess the implementation and impact of projects funded by the agency as part of its commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved healthcare development in Kano State.
The verification exercise was led by the Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Abubakar Bala, who represented the Executive Secretary of KHETFUND, Dr. Fatima Usman Zahradeen.

In a statement issued by Amina Lawan ISA Public Relations officer of the agency further stressed that, The exercise focused on interventions previously funded by KHETFUND to enhance the institution’s capacity and operational efficiency. The School benefited from financial support provided in October and December 2025 for key projects, including accreditation activities, procurement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment, and the provision and installation of solar power infrastructure for the ICT Unit.
Speaking during the exercise, Alhaji Abubakar Bala described post-funding verification as a vital component of KHETFUND’s monitoring and accountability framework. He explained that the exercise was designed to confirm the implementation of supported projects, verify their proper utilisation, and evaluate their overall impact on the institution.
He noted that the verification process also enables KHETFUND to engage directly with beneficiary institutions, identify implementation challenges, and gather valuable feedback that will guide future interventions and strengthen service delivery.
During the visit, the verification team inspected facilities, equipment, and other projects funded by the Trust Fund while interacting with the management and relevant officials of the School.
The management of the School of Health Technology, Bebeji, expressed appreciation to KHETFUND for its sustained support, describing the interventions as instrumental in improving the institution’s infrastructure, learning environment, and operational capacity.
