HAFED Polytechnic Mourns Emir of Gumel

The Acting Rector of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure (HAFED Poly), Dr. Bashir Ahmad Danzomo, has described the death of the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II, as a monumental loss to Jigawa State and the nation at large.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, staff, and students of the institution, Dr. Danzomo expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the revered traditional ruler, describing him as a father, mentor, and committed statesman whose life was dedicated to the service of humanity and the development of his community and Nigeria.
He recalled that the late Emir ascended the throne of the Gumel Emirate in 1980 during the administration of the late Governor Abubakar Rimi, noting that his reign was marked by wisdom, selfless leadership, and unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and progress.
The Acting Rector said the Polytechnic community received the news of the Emir’s demise with profound shock and sadness, describing his passing as an irreparable loss to the people of the Gumel Emirate, Jigawa State, and the entire country.
Dr. Danzomo extended the institution’s heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, the Gumel Emirate Council, the family of the late Emir, and the people of Jigawa State over the painful loss.
He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the late monarch’s shortcomings, admit him into Jannatul Firdaus, and grant his family, the Emirate Council, and the people of Gumel the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Acting Rector further noted that the late Emir’s legacy of exemplary leadership, humility, and service to humanity would remain a lasting source of inspiration for generations to come.
