Aujara Constituency Restoration: Senator Sabo Nakudu Hails INEC, Celebrates Democratic Victory

Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, CON, Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, has warmly congratulated the people of Aujara on the historic restoration and official recognition of the Aujara State Constituency by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, Senator Nakudu described the development as a significant milestone in the advancement of democratic governance, justice, and equitable political representation in Jigawa State.

According to him, the restoration of the constituency marks the return of a long-denied democratic right to the people of Aujara and underscores the strength of Nigeria’s democratic institutions in addressing legitimate aspirations through lawful and constitutional means.

“This achievement is not only a victory for the people of Aujara but also a testament to the enduring values of democracy, fairness, and inclusive governance. It reflects the collective commitment to ensuring that every community has a voice and meaningful representation in the affairs of government,” he stated.

Senator Nakudu commended the people of Aujara for their patience, resilience, and unwavering faith in the democratic process throughout the period of their struggle for restoration. He noted that their perseverance has ultimately yielded a positive outcome, restoring their rightful place within the state’s legislative framework.

As political parties begin preparations for fresh primary elections ahead of the 2027 General Elections, the ADC governorship candidate urged residents of the newly restored constituency to remain united, peaceful, and actively engaged in the democratic process.

He encouraged them to seize the opportunity to elect credible and visionary leaders capable of championing development, good governance, and the collective interests of the constituency.

Senator Nakudu also praised INEC, the judiciary, political stakeholders, traditional and community leaders, as well as all individuals and groups whose efforts contributed to the successful restoration of the constituency. He described their roles as vital in strengthening public trust in democratic institutions and the rule of law.
