NEMA Delivers Emergency Relief to Katsina Farmers Devastated by Floods

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to cabbage farmers whose crops were destroyed by flooding in Danja Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The intervention was facilitated by the Member of the House of Representatives for Danja/Bakori constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, who secured the agency’s support following formal complaints from affected farmers.

Relief items distributed included bags of rice, maize, beans, tomatoes, detergent, and seasoning cubes.
Speaking at the distribution event, Hon. Dabai explained that the assistance was a direct response to appeals from his office after flooding swept through local cabbage farms.
“This intervention is intended to provide immediate relief to affected farmers. It is not compensation for their losses, but a gesture of support during this difficult time,” he said.
The lawmaker expressed sympathy with the beneficiaries and reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation at the National Assembly, pledging to continue advocating for solutions to challenges facing the constituency.
He also called on residents of Danja and Bakori to sustain prayers for an end to banditry and insecurity in the state.
Beneficiaries of the relief materials expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his swift response and promised to make judicious use of the items provided.
