The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and consultations with relevant stakeholders.
The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed that the approved fare for all intending pilgrims from Kano State is Seven Million, Six Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand, Eight Hundred and Twenty-Two Naira (₦7,672,822.00).

Alhaji Matawalle explained that intending pilgrims who have already deposited ₦7,000,000.00 are required to pay the outstanding balance of ₦672,822.00 to complete the approved Hajj fare. He added that new applicants are expected to pay the full amount of ₦7,672,822.00.
The Director-General also announced that the Board will continue the uploading of pilgrims’ passports until the payment deadline. He urged all intending pilgrims to submit their international passports without delay, even if they are yet to complete the balance of their payments, to enable the timely processing and uploading of their travel documents.
According to him, the deadline for all Hajj payments has been extended to 31 August 2026, in line with the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He therefore appealed to all intending pilgrims to take advantage of the extension by completing their payments and submitting the required travel documents before the deadline to secure their seats for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
