TRIUMPH NEWSPAPERS TO BE REVIVED — Kano Government, Assembly Pledge Support

Kano State Commissioner for Information Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya and Hon. Sa’ad Amin, Chairman of the House Information Committee, visited Triumph Newspapers today and pledged coordinated government and legislative support to revive the historic paper.
Acting MD Muhammad Hamisu Abdullahi outlined Triumph’s legacy and current challenges which according to him include, unreliable power, shortage of computers and modern equipment and therefore appealed for intervention. Commissioner Waiya said he has raised the issue with the State Executive Council and called on former staff and media professionals to help restore the paper. Hon. Sa’ad Amin pledged the committee’s backing to modernise Triumph and align the effort with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s development agenda.
