Katsina Border Communities Commend Kano Government Over Improved Security in Lakwaya

Residents of Dansarai and Gidan Buris communities in Malunfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State have paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, to appreciate the significant improvement in security within Lakwaya town and its environs.
In a statement signed by Yusuf Idris Isyaku Information officer of the Council disclosed that, the Councillor of Dansarai Ward, Salisu Rabiu, who led the delegation expressed satisfaction with the enhanced security situation, noting that the progress recorded in Lakwaya has positively impacted neighboring communities across state borders. He commended the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for its commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

Also speaking, a representative of the delegation, Ali Ala, reaffirmed their communities’ readiness to sustain cooperation with Gwarzo authorities in ensuring continued peace and stability in the region.
In his response, the Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Council, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, welcomed the visitors and expressed appreciation for the recognition. He highlighted key interventions by the local government, including the construction of housing units for security personnel, as well as the provision of water, electricity, operational vehicles, and other logistics to strengthen security operations in Lakwaya.
Dr. Gwarzo further urged residents to continue supporting security agencies with timely and useful information to prevent any threats to peace and security.
In a related remark, the Councillor of Lakwaya Ward, Hon. Abdul’aziz Isah Kakarya, also commended the Kano State Government and the Gwarzo LGA Chairman for their sustained efforts in addressing security challenges and fostering peaceful coexistence within the area and neighboring communities.
