APC Endorses Baban Gandu as Sole Candidate for Gwarzo/Kabo Reps Seat

Hon. Abdullahi Muazu, popularly known as Baban Gandu, has officially emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) sole and unopposed candidate for the Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development followed the commencement of the APC primary elections held on Saturday, 17 May 2026, for House of Representatives positions across the country.
Hon. Abdullahi Muazu secured overwhelming affirmation after all the 20 APC ward chairmen from Gwarzo and Kabo Federal Constituency unanimously endorsed him as the party’s consensus candidate, reflecting the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership qualities, political experience, and commitment to grassroots development.

The affirmation exercise attracted prominent APC leaders, stakeholders, and party supporters from across the constituency, including Hon. Musaddiq Wada Waziri, Hon. Mustapha Abdullahi Rabiu Kura, alongside other influential party stalwarts.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, described the emergence of Hon. Abdullahi Muazu as a victory for unity, loyalty, and progressive leadership within the APC family.
According to him, the unanimous endorsement demonstrates the strong confidence party members have in the capacity of Baban Gandu to effectively represent the people of Gwarzo and Kabo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo further expressed optimism that the APC would record another major victory in the constituency during the 2027 general elections, considering the growing support and acceptance enjoyed by the candidate across the two local government areas.
The event was marked by jubilation, solidarity chants, and renewed commitment by party supporters to work collectively towards ensuring the success of the APC in the forthcoming elections.
