The Kano Field officers Association of UNICEF has donated hospitals equipment worth over 2 million Naira to Chiranchi Primary Health Care Centre in Kumbotsi Local Government area of Kano State.
In his remark while receiving the materials, the Director General Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board Dr. Nasir Mohammed Mahmoud commended the association for the gesture adding that, the gesture will no doubt assist greatly in enhancing the performances of the phc centre considering the number of people attending the Health facility.
Dr. Nasir then urged other associations to emulate the Unicef field officers Association in providing similar donation so as to complement the present administration effort in moving the health sector forward.
Earlier in her remarks, the Chairperson of the association in Kano Hajiya Saudat Basheer explained that, the donation of the equipment to the Facility was part of the association commitment to enhance medical services due to large number of patient attending the health centre.
Hajiya Saudat further stated that, the Unicef staff Association in 2022 donated items to the education sector in the state and this donation for this year 2023 was decided to be donated to the health sector with the aim of uplifting women and children attending the health facility at Chiranchi and hope that, the materials will be utilized for the purpose given.
Respinding on behalf of charanchi community, the ward development committee chairman Alhaji Sabiu Ado commended the association for the gesture and ensure proper utilization of the material in the proper way.
