Ungogo LG Inaugurates Transition Committees

The Interim Management officer of Ungogo Local Government Alhaji Sani Abdu Ungogo has inaugurated   Transition Committee.

Alhaji Sani Abdu Ungogo said, the Committee is to facilitate a seamless transfer of responsibilities and ensure continuity in governance.

The committee has been tasked with overseeing the transition process and ensuring that essential services continue uninterrupted during this period of change.

The Committee are as follows, Transition Committee Chairman Dr Saminu Umar Rijiyar Zaki, Hon. Sani Adamu Wakili Co-Chairman, Alhaji Dahiru Usman as Secretary and other thirty members.

While land committee has Dr Murtala Mohd as Chairman, Abdulrazak Abdullahi to serve as Secretary and other nine members.

While other committees includes Revenue, committee on Assets  and liabilities, committee on land landed properties.

Speaking on the formation of the committees, the interim management officer Alhaji Sani Abdu Ungogo expressed confidence on the capabilities of the committee members to steer the local government through this transition phase.

He pointed out that, “The establishment of this Transition Committees underscores our commitment to maintaining stability and efficiency in the delivery of services to the residents of Ungogo”.

The committee members to work closely with the outgoing and incoming officials, as well as key stakeholders within the community so as to address any challenges that may arise and to chart a course for the future development of Ungogo.

He advised Members of the Transition Committee to bring a diverse range of expertise, including brief description of members’ backgrounds, and  dedicated to upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity throughout the transition process.

The Ungogo Local Government Caucus Chairman Alhaji Sammani Mohd Zango and NNPP Chairman Alhaji Buliya Adamu Bachirawa extended their  gratitude to all stakeholders for their cooperation and support during this transition period and reaffirms their commitment to serving the people of Ungogo with integrity and dedication.

The Chairman Transition Committee Dr Saminu Umar R /Zaki reassured their total commitment to work inorder to achieve the set objectives.

The Committees has four weeks to submit their reports.
