- MD emphasized
The Managing Director Kano State Tourism Board Hon. Tukur Bala Sagagi raised the point while reacting to the raid of Sarina Hotel, by the Hisbah Board, stating that the Hotel is neither registered nor licensed to operate by Kano State Tourism Board, as required by the law.

He made this known to the State’s Hisbah officials when they paid him a courtesy call in his office.
The Hisbah delegate, led by the Deputy Commander General (DCG) Mujahid Aminuddeen, who acknowledged the tourism board’s action in taking appropriate actions against the hotels for their inability to fulfill their mandatory legal requirements.
Also speaking the Assistant Commander General (ACG) Metro clarified that they are aware of these efforts and cite the Agangara Operation conducted earlier by the Tourism Board.
Mujahid asked the Tourism Board’s management to collaborate with the Hisbah Board in setting up an internal joint task force to combat social vices being perpetrated by some of the tourism stakeholders in state.
In his response, the Tourism Board’s Managing Director has pledged to provide any required assistance, stressing that,“..we will build a team that will simplify our work since our mandates are intertwined. Because the Hisbah have the power to investigate any immorality, our office is in charge of registration and licensing of those establishments that conform with the set down rules and regulations.”.
