The Interim Management Officer of Danbatta Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Barwa, has called on all security agencies to intensify efforts in monitoring the movement of people from neighboring states.
Alhaji Barwa made this statement during a meeting with all security personnel and other stakeholders at his office.
He urged ward and village heads to promptly report any unfamiliar persons in their communities to the appropriate security agents or the District Head’s office for necessary action.
He also appealed to border communities to heighten their vigilance and security awareness.
In his response, the District Head of Danbatta, Sarkin Ban Kano, represented by Baba Ado, assured the Local Government Chairman that his office will remain open 24 hours to receive any reports of strangers from residents across the towns under Danbatta Local Government.
Baba Ado further emphasized the need for village and ward heads to report any illegal immigrants to the nearest security agents or his office.
He cautioned them against concealing any information that could assist in apprehending suspects within their domain.
The meeting, chaired by the Local Government Chairman, was attended security personnel to strategized and prepared for any security challenges in the area.
