RUWASA Partners with Non-Governmental Organization to Empower Youth

The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with a non-governmental organization (NGO) to promote self-reliance among youth in the state. This strategic collaboration was aims to equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive sustainable development in their communities.

According to  the Executive Secretary Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA)  Alhaji Shamwilu Abdulkadir Isah, says that , emphasis is on training youth using the SUNDA TECHNOLOGIES HAND BOOK, which is designed to boost their capacity and enhance their contribution to the state’s development.

The Managing Director of RUWASA commended the association for their foresight in introducing solar hand pumps, which will benefit the youth and promote sustainable water management practices.
This partnership aligns with RUWASA’s commitment to promoting sustainable water supply and sanitation services, as seen in their innovative approaches to addressing water scarcity challenges in rural Nigeria.

The partnership was formalized during a visit by the chairman of the association, Aya Tsoboi, who presented the proposal to the executive.
