The announcement was made during the Chairman’s inspection visit to an ongoing renovation site in Rogo Sabon Gari Ward. The project is a direct response to the persistent power outages that have plagued the community and aligns with the broader state-wide development agenda of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Speaking at the site, Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha Rogo reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to addressing the essential needs of the people.

“We are ready to provide adequate infrastructural development for our people, and by the grace of Allah, this is just the beginning. More projects are underway,” the Chairman stated.

The current renovation at Sabon Gari Ward is set to restore electricity to key areas including Titin Shabba’u, Hayi, Kasuwar Ilya, and Unguwar Dan Ade. Rogo-Ruma Ward has also been slated as a direct beneficiary of this initial intervention phase.

The community has welcomed the development with relief and appreciation. Comrade Abubakar Sani Rogo (popularly known as Kwankwason Rogo), a resident of Kofar Fada, expressed the collective sentiment, noting that residents had endured over six months of total darkness despite numerous appeals.

He commended Chairman Rogo for his decisive action, stating that the intervention has finally brought hope and light back to the community.

This transformer renovation project underscores the local government’s focused effort on tangible, people-oriented development and its commitment to collaborating with the Kano State Government to deliver dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
