RANO LOCAL GOVERNMENT SET TO CONDUCT FREE EYE AND HERNIA SURGERIES

Rano Local Government is set to provide free eye and hernia surgeries to several individuals who were recently screened for the procedures. This initiative has received widespread gratitude from residents, who have praised the local government’s commitment to improving healthcare access for the less privileged.
Among those screened for hernia surgery were Malam Auwalu Bawa from Madaci Ward and Usman Shangu from Lausu Ward. Both individuals expressed their appreciation for the program, highlighting how it offers much-needed relief to people in their communities. They also called for continued support for healthcare initiatives within the local government.

Similarly, Malama Ramatu from Zurgu Ward and Kattume Wada from Lausu Ward, who were screened for eye surgery, also thanked the local government for providing free medical services.

The Chairman of Rano Local Government, Alhaji Muhammad Naziru Ya’u Rano, reiterated his commitment to collaborating with the state government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to improve healthcare services in the region.
Represented by the Supervisory Councilor for Health, Alhaji Yusuf Jibrin Rano, the Chairman emphasized that this is not the first such initiative. The local government has previously supported similar programs, including cataract surgery for pregnant women. He urged all those screened to attend the scheduled surgery promptly and encouraged the community to pray for the success of both the local and state governments in their healthcare endeavors.
