Rano Local Government Bolsters Healthcare Workforce with Recruitment of 100 Health Workers

In a significant move to enhance healthcare accessibility, the Rano Local Government Council has recruited over 100 health workers to strengthen primary healthcare service delivery in the area.

The announcement was made by the Council Chairman, Hon. Naziru Ya’u, during an advocacy visit by Voice of the Hopeful Enlightenment Initiative (VHEI), a non-governmental organization focused on healthcare improvement.

Hon. Ya’u explained that the newly recruited health workers were engaged under a **temporary employment scheme**, a strategic initiative to address workforce shortages and ensure efficient public healthcare services. He urged the health workers to remain dedicated to their duties, emphasizing that their efforts are critical to achieving the council’s healthcare objectives.

During the visit, Mr. Peter Hassan Tijjani, Team Leader of VHEI, commended the council’s efforts in upgrading health facilities and highlighted his organization’s ongoing interventions in the fight against malaria and the improvement of primary healthcare services in Rano.

Mr. Tijjani also expressed the NGO’s willingness to explore collaborative opportunities with the local government to further enhance healthcare delivery for residents.

The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining healthcare improvements, including facility renovations and workforce development, to ensure better health outcomes for the community.
