Wudil local government has successfully immunized over fifty six thousand one hundred and seventeen eligible children during the recent concluded Polio OBR 3 September round 2024.
Announcing this while submitting the report to the Acting local government Interim Management Officer of the area Alhaji Ismaila Tajo Gaya at his office, the head of medical department of the area Alhaji Bashir Usman said the children immunized were drown out of the local government Target population of fifty eight thousand three hundred and fifty one children expected to be immunized during the round of the exercise through the used of sixty thousand six hundred and fifty vaccines received from the state and were exactly used.
Alhaji Bashir Usman while submitting this remarkable achievement of a report to the Acting interim officer, has described the round of a Polio as a great success.
He added that, the success was as a result of good hand work of the local government social mobilization committee, village and ward heads, imams as well as other members of the polio task force committee in the area.
Receiving the report, the Acting interim Management Officer Wudil local government area Alhaji Ismaila Tajo Gaya, has commended all and sundry who contributed to the smooth success of the exercises especially parents  for their full support and cooperation that make the dream a reality.
Saying it is of no doubt the good intentions of the state governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf to see the good health of the people of the state and what more of the local government of Wudil. So ” we need to also double up in catering the good health of the people”.
Alhaji Ismaila Tajo, thanked staff and all other medical personnel for a job well done, adding that, they will continue supporting all the government plan and programs that have direct bearing to the people.
