The Executive Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Area and Deputy Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) for Kano Central, Amb. Hon. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam (Ogan Boye), has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community in Nigeria and around the world on the auspicious occasion of Maulud Nabiyy, marking the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a heartfelt message, Amb. Imam highlighted the significance of the celebration as a time for reflection, devotion, and recommitment to the noble virtues exemplified by the Prophet (PBUH). He specifically called on parents and guardians to use the period to instill the Prophet’s teachings in the younger generation.
“The life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are the ultimate guide for humanity,” stated Chairman Imam. “It is our sacred duty as parents and community leaders to ensure our children are nurtured with knowledge of his character, his household (Ahlul Bayt), and the Holy Qur’an. This is the foundation for building a righteous and morally upright society.”
The Chairman further praised the Federal Government for declaring a public holiday for the observance, noting that it provides a valuable opportunity for Muslims to peacefully commemorate the Prophet’s legacy and reflect on his message of mercy, peace, and compassion for all creation.
Amb. Imam concluded his message with prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in the nation and beyond, urging everyone to embody the spirit of the occasion through acts of charity and kindness.
