KSGG Approves Major Road Projects to Boost Connectivity and Economy in Gwarzo LGA

The approval, granted during the council’s meeting on Friday, addresses long-standing community needs and underscores the state government’s commitment to equitable development across all regions. The projects are set to transform transportation, connect communities, and unlock new economic opportunities for residents.
The first approved road will run from Dorogo through Kwanar Kwami, a route critical for local trade and travel. For years, this road has been a primary concern for the community, and its construction is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and bolster economic activities in the area.

The second project is a strategic link road beginning behind the Ili residence, passing through Rafawa and Dogami, and connecting to Lahadin Kara. This new route will dramatically improve connectivity between several communities, facilitating smoother movement of people, goods, and services, and further integrating the local economy.
“The approval of these roads marks a historic moment for the people of Gwarzo LGA,” said Auwalu Musa Yola, Zonal Information Officer for Gwarzo Zone. “This decision reflects Governor Yusuf’s vision for balanced development and demonstrates that his administration is truly listening to and acting on the needs of grassroots communities. These projects will bring renewed hope and tangible progress to our area.”
