Kano State Government has inaugurated Task force Committees for the control of rampant erection of Illegal buildings without approval, permission and that of assets recovery.
The Committees were Inaugurated by the Managing Director, Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), Arch. Ibrahim Yakub Adamu.
The manager director unveiled the reasons for Inaugurating the committees which were in line with the present Administration’s zeal to make Kano number one in the federation in town planning.
He expressed dismay over the proliferation of unregistered private layouts being carved out and sold without prior KNUPDA approval, warning that present administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf will take appropriate legal action against violators of government’s directives.
The Committee was chaired by Town Planner Junaid Abdullah while members Include all directors and representatives of private layout companies.
On his part, Tpl Junaid Abdullahi expressed readiness to work tirelessly in order to achieve the desired goals.
The chairman also urged the general public to always contact ward heads, district heads and other stakeholders before purchasing any plot.
Areas visited Included Yankatsari in Dawakin Kudu LGA, Kumbotso, Gezawa and Nassarawa LGAs.
