In his efforts to upgrade the Kano Zoo to global standard and revive its lost glory, the Managing Director, Kano State Zoological and Wildlife Management Agency, Hon. Sadiq Kura Mohammed has, today, met with the officials of Kenyan government at the country’s High Commission in Abuja.

A statement issued by Farouk Isa Musa, the spokesperson of the Agency, indicated that the issue of wildlife restocking of Kano Zoo was the main agenda of the meeting.
Samuel O Mogere, Charge D’Affairs at the High Commission who represented the Kenyan government expressed his country’s willingness to partner with Kano State Zoological Garden as a part of the Kenya’s commitment to develop tourism sector.
The Managing Director, KAZOWMA, Hon. Sadiq Kura Mohammed thanked the Kenyan government for the support and cooperation given to the Zoo and Kano State in general.
He reaffirmed his earlier commitment to wildlife conservation and modernization of the Zoo.
