Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Urges Intending Pilgrims to Meet October 2025 Deadline for 2026 Hajj

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board today announced a crucial deadline for all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise. During a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Board’s headquarters, the Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, reaffirmed that October 8, 2025, is the final day for the remittance of 50% of the Hajj seat allocation fee.

This directive, issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), requires all states to secure half of their allocated seats by this date. Kano State has been granted a significant allocation of 5,684 seats for the 2026 pilgrimage.
Alhaji Danbappa called on all prospective pilgrims to act promptly. “We urge our intending pilgrims to take full advantage of this window and process their Hajj drafts without delay,” he stated. “This timely action is critical to ensuring that Kano State does not lose any part of its valuable allocation.”
The Director General also clarified the timeline for the full payment, noting that the final deadline for the remittance of the complete Hajj fare is December 31, 2025.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, offered prayers for the Board’s success and called for collective effort. “We pray to Almighty Allah to grant us the strength and cooperation needed to fulfill these directives successfully. I implore all stakeholders to intensify their efforts to ensure we meet our objectives for the benefit of our pilgrims.”
