KANO STATE GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION, AS GWARZO AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO 901 STUDENTS
The Kano State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting education and ensuring access to quality learning opportunities for all students in the state.
Speaking during a scholarship award ceremony at the School of Environmental Studies, Gwarzo, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, emphasized the administration’s dedication to transforming the education sector.
He announced his disbursement of scholarships to 901 students as part of the government’s broader strategy to support academic excellence and reduce financial burdens on students.
Comrade Gwarzo highlighted that the current administration, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, has allocated more than 30% of the state’s budget to education.
This substantial investment underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Kano State.
Additionally, the administration has declared a state of emergency on education and introduced the Students’ Transport Scheme, aimed at improving accessibility and easing the mobility challenges faced by students across the state.
The government’s commitment to education is unwavering. We are taking bold steps to provide an enabling environment for learning, ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial constraints, Gwarzo stated.
The Kano State Government remains dedicated to implementing sustainable policies that will elevate the standard of education and empower the youth for a brighter future.
