Kano State Government Partners with FLEXISAF to Unify ICT Systems Across State-Owned Tertiary Institutions

In a significant move to enhance efficiency and streamline operations, the Kano State Government has announced a strategic partnership with FLEXISAF, a leading ICT solutions provider, to implement a unified software platform across all state-owned tertiary institutions.

The announcement was made by Malam Shehu Sani Shehu, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Higher Education and Director of Administration and General Services, during a stakeholder engagement meeting held at the Minister’s Conference Hall on Wednesday.

Malam Shehu emphasized that the adoption of a single, unified platform will facilitate better planning, seamless communication, and data-driven decision-making across institutions. “This initiative ensures all stakeholders are aligned, enabling efficient data generation and policy implementation,”he stated.

Currently, tertiary institutions in the state operate on disparate software systems, leading to inconsistencies in data management and revenue collection. The new unified system will harmonize operations, eliminate manual processes, and enhance revenue generation, while improving transparency and accountability.

FLEXISAF, a trusted ICT partner with existing deployments in institutions such as Northwest University and Kano State College of Advanced and Preliminary Studies (KACEPS), brings proven expertise to the project.

Alhaji Muhammad Auwal, Vice President of FLEXISAF, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating, “This partnership underscores our shared commitment to building an efficient, transparent, and accountable framework for education management. An integrated system will streamline policy execution and improve coordination across all institutions.”

The event featured presentations by Anas Sa’ad, Regional Manager of FLEXISAF, followed by an interactive session where heads of tertiary institutions and stakeholders raised questions and provided feedback.

Alhaji Auwal expressed gratitude to the Kano State Government for the opportunity to present their vision, reaffirming FLEXISAF’s dedication to delivering impactful results.

The initiative marks a major leap forward in digitizing Kano’s higher education sector, ensuring greater efficiency, accountability, and sustainable growth
