Kano Pilgrims Board Inaugurates Hadaya Committee

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has inaugurated a nine-member Hadaya Committee to coordinate and manage Hadaya arrangements for intending pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj exercise.
According to a press release signed by Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi the Board’s Public Relations officer disclosed that, The inauguration ceremony took place at the Board’s Conference Hall, where the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, charged members of the committee to discharge their duties with diligence, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility in line with the objectives of the Board.

Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u explained that Hadaya is a compulsory act of worship (Ibadah) for pilgrims performing Tamattu’i and Qirani. He stressed that proper registration through the committee provides a safe, organized, and reliable means for pilgrims to fulfill this religious obligation.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, urged committee members to apply their wealth of experience to ensure efficiency, accountability, and overall success in the assignment.

Responding on behalf of the committee, the Chairman of the Hadaya Committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusuf, revealed that discussions have already commenced with two companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the procurement of rams for pilgrims at affordable rates. He further informed that pilgrims who choose to pay for Hadaya in Nigerian currency will do so at the cost of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦250,000), subject to the prevailing Saudi Riyal exchange rate upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
The members of the Hadaya Committee are: Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusuf (Chairman), Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, Sheikh Isma’il Ilyasu Mangu, Hajiya Batulu Isa Waziri, Hajiya Halima Aliyu, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, Alhaji Habibu Idris Bichi, Alhaji Salisu Haruna Makoda, and Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara as Secretary.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board reassures all intending pilgrims of its unwavering commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and spiritually rewarding Hajj exercise.
