Hajj 2026: KSPWB Conducts Official Inspection Visit in Makkah

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced an official inspection visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise, as part of efforts to ensure improved service delivery and enhanced welfare for pilgrims from the state.
The visit is being led by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, alongside the Chairman, Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan, and other key management staff of the Board.

As part of the programme, the Board’s leadership paid a courtesy and official visit to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, at the Commission’s Ummuljud Office in Makkah. The engagement provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and discuss critical operational issues ahead of the Hajj.
The inspection visit also included a detailed assessment of pilgrims’ accommodation facilities in Makkah, with a focus on ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall welfare of Kano State pilgrims during the Hajj exercise. The exercise underscores the Board’s commitment to upholding high standards and delivering quality services to pilgrims.
Discussions during the visit centered on enhancing cooperation between the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and NAHCON, as well as addressing key areas such as accommodation arrangements, logistics, and general pilgrims’ welfare.
