Governor Radda Launches Multi-Million Naira Empowerment and Education Programme in Sabuwa LGA

Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda, has launched a multi-million naira empowerment and education programme in Sabuwa Local Government Area, sponsored by renowned philanthropist, Engr. Tasiu Abubakar. The initiative is aimed at creating employment opportunities for thousands of youths and women while strengthening access to quality education in the area.
As part of the programme, beneficiaries received 80 grinding machines, 10 maize shelling machines, and financial assistance for over 1,500 women. Educational materials distributed included 10,000 exercise books, 1,000 school uniforms, 40 bicycles, and 300 JAMB forms, among other items.

Speaking at the event, Governor Radda stated that the distributed items would serve as a source of income for young people and women, while also supporting students in their academic pursuits. He described the programme as a strategic step toward providing equal educational opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Governor also called on individuals, corporate bodies, and other well-meaning organisations to partner with the government in tackling youth unemployment and promoting development.
Earlier, Engr. Tasiu Abubakar explained that the initiative was part of his ongoing humanitarian efforts to improve the lives of people in Sabuwa and its environs. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the programme to boost economic development and improve educational standards in the area. He urged beneficiaries to make good use of the items provided and offered prayers for continued peace and stability in Katsina State.

The launch attracted community leaders, government officials, and residents, who commended the initiative as a timely intervention for sustainable development.
