Former Kano Commissioner Dismisses ADC Coalition as “A Gathering of Political Drifters,” Affirms Confidence in APC and President Tinubu

Comrade Mohammed Garba, the former Commissioner for Information in Kano State, has today issued a strong critique of the newly formed African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, describing it as a weak and directionless alliance incapable of posing a credible challenge to Nigeria’s ruling party.
In a statement released to the press, Garba characterized the ADC coalition as “a gathering of political drifters without a compass or conviction,” asserting that it is motivated by personal ambition and frustration rather than a coherent ideology or a genuine commitment to public service.

“The ADC coalition is a political illusion that exists only on paper,” Garba stated. “Most of those claiming to have formed it are still deeply rooted in the PDP. They cannot even leave their former party completely, yet they talk about forming a national movement. It’s laughable.”
Garba pointed to the ADC’s performance in recent elections as evidence of its irrelevance on the national stage. “In every election where ADC contested, the outcome was the same – defeat,” he said. “They couldn’t even come close to the top three in most constituencies. A party that cannot win at the grassroots cannot dream of ruling Nigeria.”
He further emphasized the coalition’s lack of political structure, noting that the ADC holds no governorship, senatorial, or major offices, and labeling it “a structureless platform being used by failed politicians seeking attention.”

In contrast, Garba praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its stability, unity, and strategic governance under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he called “a visionary leader who has shown courage where others showed confusion.”
“The APC has remained strong because it is built on structure, strategy, and leadership,” Garba said. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is restoring discipline and direction to governance. Nigerians can already see his reforms beginning to yield results.”
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, Garba expressed unwavering confidence in another decisive victory for the APC. “The 2027 election will be between APC and PDP, but the outcome is already clear — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC will win again, Insha Allah. Nigerians will not trade progress for empty promises.”
He concluded by advising the opposition to focus on substantive contributions to national development, stating, “Politics is not noise-making; it is vision, courage, and delivery. Under President Tinubu and the APC, Nigeria is on the path to greatness – and that journey will continue beyond 2027, God willing.”
