DSP BARAU JIBRIL: THE UNSTOPPABLE POLITICAL TRAIN THAT TERRIFIES THE OPPOSITION.
…Standing tall despites the politics of demolition and distractions.

In the political corridors of Kano, one name continues to echo louder than any other, DSP Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His political maturity, developmental strides, and unmatched contributions to the progress of Kano State have not only cemented his legacy but have also instilled fear and panic in the hearts of the opposition and certain disgruntled elements within the party.
These elements, still living in the shadow of their 2023 defeat, are shamelessly calling for the “retrieval” of the ticket they lost fair and square. What a joke! Time has long passed, and Barau has proven himself as a reliable, visionary, and result-driven leader whose Senatorial performance remains legendary — not only in Kano North but across Nigeria.

Instead of nursing empty ambitions, it is only wise for Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, a respected technocrat, to either prepare for another elective position or patiently wait for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s next winning phase. Who knows, he may yet find himself honored with a ministerial appointment. As for Garo, his Senatorial seat came to him on a platter of gold; engaging in futile battles is unnecessary. He should rather enjoy his position, or better still, swap places with Maliya and live in peace.
Meanwhile, the opposition government in Kano continues to expose its pettiness by waging a senseless campaign of envy against Barau Jibrin. They have gone as far as demolishing his legally acquired property in Amana, all in a bid to undermine his rising profile. Yet, the more they fight him, the stronger he becomes.
Barau’s projects, from infrastructure to youth empowerment and educational development, speak for themselves. No amount of propaganda or administrative sabotage can stop his light from shining. The people of Kano see through the deceit of those who demolish progress while pretending to serve.
Today, Barau Jibrin stands as an unstoppable political train, racing toward greater leadership heights with unprecedented speed and public approval. There is no politician in Kano, or beyond, who can challenge him and win. His growing influence, humility, and vision for a greater Kano make him the most formidable figure in the state’s political landscape.

For his detractors, one truth remains constant: you cannot dim the sun. Barau Jibrin’s political star is too bright, his base too solid, and his achievements too real to be buried under envy and propaganda.
He is, without question, the fear of the opposition — and the future of Kano’s political leadership.
