Defence Minister Badaru Receives Newly Appointed Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs
— Strengthening Unity, Leadership, and Strategic Direction in Nigeria’s Armed Forces

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, received the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs during their maiden courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, Ship House, Abuja.
In a statement signed by Mati Ali Personal Assistant Media and Publicity to the Minister of Defence disclosed that, During the meeting, the Minister commended the Service Chiefs for their dedication and assured them of his full support in ensuring synergy and professionalism across the Armed Forces. He emphasized the need for unity of command, strategic coordination, and collective action to address emerging security challenges and strengthen Nigeria’s defence posture.
The visit marks a renewed commitment to building a cohesive military leadership anchored on trust, cooperation, and shared national purpose, in alignment with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to safeguard Nigeria’s sovereignty and promote lasting peace and stability.

In attendance were, Chief of Defence Staff, Lt Gen. O. O. Oluyede, Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen. W. Shaibu, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I. Abbas and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal S. K. Aneke.
