Dala LG Council Launches Empowerment Program for Loyal Grassroots Supporters

In a move to reward dedication and foster inclusive governance, the Dala Local Government Council has unveiled a comprehensive empowerment initiative for grassroots supporters who stood firmly with the administration during the electioneering period.

At the launch event, Alhaji Surajo Imam, Chairman of Dala LGA, described the program as a token of appreciation for the unwavering commitment of young supporters who endured challenges and threats during the political campaigns.
“Politics is like a truck—it carries many loads. But as it moves, there comes a time when it must stop. Our hope is to be among those it stops for,” the Chairman remarked, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to reciprocating loyalty.

The Chairman highlighted that across all 12 political wards, many youths sacrificed their personal businesses—whether as kola nut sellers at Ujule, timber dealers, or artisans—to support the government.
“One good turn deserves another,” he stated, praising their peaceful return to normalcy post-election without grievances—a rare feat in Nigeria’s often-turbulent political landscape.
He further recalled Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s public commendation of the youths’ tenacity and solidarity during a major political rally, where they championed the administration’s policies.
Alhaji Surajo Imam also honored Shehu Tariga, Malam Kamilu, and Hon. Haladu Janare as pillars of grassroots mobilization, crediting their mentorship for sustaining youth engagement with the government.
To formalize the reward system, the Council announced a monthly Stipends of ₦10,000 to 54 beneficiaries and additional 33 high-impact supporters to receive ₦20,000** monthly.
Other gestures includes, Festive Support: Direct cash assistance during Eid-el-Fitr and Eid-el-Kabir, bypassing bureaucratic delays as well as Employment Priority: First consideration for government job opportunities.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, SA Marshall Hon. Haladu Janare thanked the Council for the life-changing intervention, noting that the support would alleviate economic hardships and reinforce trust in the administration.
