Dala Council Chairman Distributes Motorcycles to Councillors to Enhance Service Delivery

The Executive Chairman of Dala Local Government Council, Hon. Suraj Ibrahim Imam, has presented motorcycles to councillors across the council area to enhance their mobility and ensure more effective service delivery.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Hon. Suraj expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and appreciated the guidance and support of party leaders, which he said had continued to inspire his administration’s efforts toward the rapid development of Dala Local Government.

He explained that the initiative, which had been part of the council’s long-term plans, was aimed at easing mobility challenges faced by councillors in carrying out their oversight functions. According to him, although the council initially planned to provide vehicles, the motorcycles were chosen as a practical step to immediately improve accessibility and performance at the grassroots.
In a statement signed by the Information officer of the Council Hassana Aminu disclosed that, Hon. Suraj reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fulfilling all pre-election promises, stressing that “our goal is to translate words into action and ensure tangible progress across all sectors.”
Describing the councillors as “partners in progress,” the Chairman commended their contribution to the successes recorded by the local government. He also urged them to uphold the values of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, by working diligently and selflessly for the development of Dala.

He further acknowledged the Council Secretary for his consistent advice and guidance, praying for Allah’s blessings and protection on all officials working for the unity and progress of the area.
In his remarks, the NNPP Chairman of Dala, Alhaji Abdulaziz Dayyabu MaituRare, lauded the initiative and called on party members to remain patient and supportive. He reaffirmed the council’s determination to ensure that every member benefits from its developmental programmes. He also encouraged members to continue publicizing the achievements of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and commended the NNPP National Leader, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for his steadfast support and commitment to the Dala community.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Abdulaziz Dayyabu MaituRare, described the gesture as timely and impactful. He recalled being one of the early beneficiaries of a similar empowerment programme, which he said reflected the Chairman’s visionary leadership and people-oriented governance.
Speaking on behalf of all councillors, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Auwal Ibrahim Shuaibu, expressed profound appreciation to the Chairman for the gesture. He prayed for continued blessings, courage, and the success of democratic governance under Hon. Suraj’s leadership.
