Dala Council Chairman Calls for Stronger Collaboration Between Political Leaders and Security Agencies

The Executive Chairman of Dala Local Government Council, Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam, has emphasized the need for a stronger working relationship between civilian administrators and security agencies to enhance peace and stability in the region.
The Chairman made the call during a courtesy visit by the State Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Alhaji Shafiu Abdulmumini Dayi, at the council headquarters.
Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam stressed that such collaboration is critical, particularly in the face of growing security and socio-economic challenges. He described political officeholders and security operatives as “partners in progress,” acknowledging their shared commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
The Council Boss commended the NSCDC for its professionalism and dedication, noting that the agency’s discipline and decorum have earned public trust. He urged the Corps to sustain its high standards to further dispel any negative perceptions.
In his remarks, NSCDC Commander Alhaji Shafiu Abdulmumini Dayi praised the Chairman for his unwavering support to security personnel deployed in Dala. He reiterated the Corps’ commitment to fostering synergy with local authorities to combat crime and promote peaceful coexistence.
The Commander, who was accompanied by officers, visited the area to inspect a new NSCDC facility and expressed appreciation for the warm reception and cooperation from the council.
Alhaji Surajo reaffirmed his administration’s open-door policy, welcoming constructive feedback to improve governance and service delivery to Dala residents.
