COAS Orders Total Crushing of Terrorists, Vows to Protect Nigeria’s Sovereignty”
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has issued a decisive directive to Nigerian troops: crush all terrorists and criminal elements operating within the nation’s territory without mercy.
The COAS made the declaration while closing the Bi-Annual Army Conference in Maiduguri, where top military commanders convened for three days to strategize on enhancing national security.
“There is no contesting our decision to completely neutralize these detractors of peace,” Gen. Oluyede stated. “I charge every officer and soldier to spare no quarter in running these terrorists to the ground. They seek to destroy our society, but we will not allow it.”
Emphasizing the need for unwavering resolve, the Army Chief announced plans to deploy additional combat enablers in ongoing operations. However, he stressed that the Nigerian Army’s strength lies not just in superior firepower but in the courage and discipline of its troops.
“The adversary we face threatens the very fabric of our nation,” he warned. “Our response must be relentless, decisive, and uncompromising.”
The conference yielded critical resolutions aimed at bolstering national security, with Gen. Oluyede commending the strategic insights shared by participants. He assured that the Nigerian Army would implement the proposed measures to ensure lasting peace.
