Bagwai local government Council has been urged to ensure dissolution of all allocation of grazing reserves and cattle route by previous administration for sustainable peace and stability among Farmers and Cattle breeders in the area.
The Ɓagwai local government chairman of Billital Marooɓe Pastoralists association of Nigeria Malam Salmanu Galadima Rimin dako made the call when he led members of the association to a congratulatory visit to the local Caretaker chairman Engineer Bello Abdullahi Gadanya in his office.
Malam Salmanu Galadima said, Cattle breeders were frustrated due to poor grazing reserves and routes sold by previous administration and appealed to the caretaker chairman to ensure revival the prestige of their profession .
He advised cattle breeders in the area to live in peace with farmers for sustainable development in the area.
Responding ,engineer Bello Gadanya who was represented by the vice chairman of the council Alhaji Farouk Adamu Bagwai reaffirmed the local administration’s decision for the dissolution of all land allocation by the previous administration in the area.
He said, rampant allocation of grazing reserves and cattle routes was responsible for misunderstanding between farmers and herders across the area.
On his part, the secretary of the council Dr. Ali Lawan Alhassan advised cattle breeders to be law abiding and assured of the local government ‘s willingness to settle their plight for socio economic development of the area.
