Bature Dawakin Tofa Donate N500,000  TO SPONSOR EDUCATION OF ORPHANS AND LESS-PRIVILEGED CHILDREN

The Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Government, Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦500,000) to Alkausara Primary and Secondary School in Dawakin Tofa, to support the education of orphans and less-privileged children enrolled in the school.

The donation was announced during the school’s speech and prize-giving ceremony held at the premises of the Central Juma’at Mosque in Dawakin Tofa.

In his remarks, Alhaji Sunusi Bature emphasized the importance of educating children in both Islamic and Western knowledge as a foundation for producing responsible leaders in the future. He added that his Bature Foundation is committed to supporting orphans and vulnerable children across the local government area.

He also commended the founder of the school, Alhaji Kabiru Ali, for his dedication and compassion toward parents and students by charging significantly lower school fees, less than half of what is charged by other private schools.

In his welcome address, the School Principal, Malam Usman Idris Lawan, highlighted the school’s history, noting that it was established on 24th August 1996 with only 12 students in a rented house. The school now has over 500 students and operates in its permanent site.

The founder, Alhaji Kabiru Ali, explained that the school was established to address educational challenges in the community. He revealed that the school has now obtained official approval from the State Ministry of Education to conduct Senior Secondary School Examinations (SSCE) within its premises, and for the past three years, its students have recorded outstanding success in their final examinations across all subjects.

In separate goodwill messages, the Education Secretary, Malam Ahmad Shu’aibu, and Alhaji Rabiu Jalo Dawanau commended the State Government and the Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government, Alhaji Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki, for their continuous commitment to promoting both Islamic and Western education in the area.

During the event, outstanding individuals were also honored with awards of recognition for their contributions to educational development in the community. Among the awardees were Alhaji Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, and Alhaji Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki, Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government.

The ceremony also featured presentations and drama performances by students focusing on various educational themes.
