The Babangida Charity Foundation has distributed non-interest revolving loans to the parents of orphans and petty traders at Romi Community in Dawakin Tofa Local Government on Sunday 9th February 2025. The aim of the program is to empower the mothers of orphans for them to carter for their orphans. While the loan for the petty traders was meant to improve their businesses. 10 women were given the loan of N30,000 each; while 8 traders received N50,000 each.
I his remarks, the Chairman Babangida Charity Foundation Board of Trustee, Malam Isa Adamu Abdullahi noted that since the establishment of the foundation it was able to execute some programs that had great impact of the people of Romi community. Distribution of non-interest loans was part of the Initiatives to support the orphans and traders. This was the fourth time the foundation was distributing loans to orphans and needys. He thanked the earlier beneficiaries of the loan that refunded the money as scheduled. He urged the new beneficiaries to use the money judiciously.
The Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida mentioned that the foundation would continue to support the members of the community in different ways. He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the money in order to improve their businesses. He informed the gathering that the foundation would launch more programs in the key sectors of education, healthcare and water supply.
Two of the beneficiaries in their separate responses, Malam Abdulhamid Muhammad and Aishatu Musa thanked the Babangida Charity Foundation for the efforts and promised to use the loans judiciously.
The event was attended by the Village Head of Romi, Malam Abubakar Ado Zubairu, Chief Imam , Malam Mustapha Musa and members of Babangida Charity Foundation.
