A delegation of Medical Consultants from Aminu. Kano Teaching Hospital arrived Indabo town in Wudil Local Government area to conduct a medical survey on Epilepsy disease in the area.
The delegation under a Medical Consultant, Dr Aminu Abdullahi would conduct a house to house survey to identify people with Epilepsy disease for treatment.
Receiving the team, the Caretaker Chairperson of Wudil Local Government, Hajia Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo assured the local administration support and assistance towards the provision of necessary logistics for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
Hajia Bilkisu Indabo enjoined people of the area to cooperate with the medical personnel to enable them succeed in their assignment.
The Caretaker Chairperson assured that the local government would initiate more policies and programs that will improve the socio-economic and healthy wellbeing of the teeming populace in the area.
In his remark, The Head of the Medical Consultants, Dr Aminu Abdullahi enlightened the people on the misconception that Epilepsy is not a curable disease, pointing out that the team had conducted a similar exercise where they identified, treated and cured patients with Epilepsy disease and are now running their normal activities without relapse.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Secretary to the Local government, Alhaji Ahmad Iliyasu described the medical survey as the first of its kind in the area and thanked the team for selecting Wudil local government for the exercise.
In his address the State member house of assembly representing Wudil local Government Alhaji. Ali Abdullahi Manager promise State Government intervention where the need arise and assured the team of the full support and cooperation of the people through out the exercise.
