The Director General Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency Professor Salisu Ahmad ibrahim has pledge to partner with any progressive health association to compliment Kano State Government efforts in enhancing Private Health Institution in the State.

The Director General disclose this while interacting with members of Nigerian Association of patient proprietary medicine vendors, when they paid him a familiarity visit at the conference hall of the agency.
In his remarks the chairman of the association mohammad nura abubakar Wudil congratulate DG PHIMA for the new appointment, describing it a well deserved and urge him to maintain the existing cordial relationship to move the health sector forward.
He said in 1999 almost 6000 thausand members were registered by the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria yet a lot found it difficult to get access to their licence despite the annual registration renewal.
The Chairman then solicited the support of the state government to shoulder the responsibility of sponsoring special programmes and training workshops for it’s members to acquire knowledge and technical know how inorder to make them qualify in their profession.
in his remarks DG PHIMA Professor Salisu Ahmad ibrahim thanks the association for the visit stressing that, the state government is ready to partner with health association to mobilise vulnerable among the citizens to have access to medical care, “that is why lafiya Jari was introduced to assist people in the state, and i will advise government to engage your members in lafiya jari to make the system more effective” said the DG.
He however drew the attention of the executive members of the association to ensure that each drug seller register with PSN in order to bring sanity in to the system with a view to fish out unqualified personal among them, also said it will bring more revenue generation if a proper verification was conducted.
The Director General assure them his redness to operate an open door policy to carry everybody along, hence advise those who have problems with PCN to write a petition and forward it to his office.
