The Director General 0f Private Health Institution Management Agency Professor Salisu Ahmad ibrahim has directed his staff operational team to seal Kainuwa Medical Centre Hotoro with immediate effect.


The Director General disclose this at the conference hall of the agency during a meeting with the Head of the Medical centre.

He said Closing the Centre became necessary considering the numerous complaints received against the credibility of providing unqualified personals and equipment.
Added that according to the investigation conducted by his task force Committee the centre lack four factors responsible for the establishment of either clinic or hospital among which includes failure to register with PHIMA, keeping drugs at their Pharmacy more than what is required by the law, lack of qualify doctors for medical checking to patients when the need arise as well as lack of qualified nurses who will render medical services while admitting the Patients.
He therefore drew the attention of all the health private institutions in the state to ensure that they meets the requirements of the law.
In another development Solina Centre for International Development and Research paid a courtesy visit to DG PHIMA.
In his remarks the Executive Program Director Adesola Arowolo said the Primary objective of the program is to reduce maternal mortality rates and strengthen system for safer child birth across public and Private facilities in three states Kano, Delta and Lagos.
While responding in the conference hall of the Agency DG PHIMA Professor Salisu Ahmad thanks delegation for the visit, pledge to work with them to move Kano State forward.
