Commissioner Makoda Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Development

The Kano State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Government to promoting youth development through quality education and skills acquisition.
The Commissioner made the pledge while receiving members of Makoda Facebook Connect on a courtesy visit to his office.

Dr. Makoda stated that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf remains committed to implementing policies and programmes that empower young people and strengthen the education sector. He highlighted key achievements of the government, including ongoing school renovations, recruitment and training of teachers, improved learning infrastructure, and initiatives aimed at expanding access to quality education across the state.
In a statement signed by Musbahu Aminu Yakasai Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry stated that, the Commissioner also urged members of the association to use social media responsibly by promoting values that encourage youth development, peaceful coexistence, and community progress.
Earlier, the Chairman of Makoda Facebook Connect, Mustapha Wankan Labule, said the visit was aimed at introducing the association and presenting its objectives and activities. He explained that the group is dedicated to mobilising and sensitising young people on the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, and prioritising the development of Makoda Local Government Area.
The Chairman commended the Commissioner for the warm reception and appreciated the opportunity to discuss issues relating to youth empowerment and community development.
Both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in advancing education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development in Makoda Local Government Area.
