Kano Mass Education Agency Trains Vigilante, Hisba Personnel

The Kano State Agency for Mass Education has launched a statewide training programme designed to enhance the capacity of vigilante groups and Hisba personnel through education, public enlightenment, and skills development.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations officer of the Agency Binta Kabir Usman stated that,The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Binta Abubakar, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by a Social Media Team to her office. She emphasized that education, awareness creation, and self-reliance training remain central to the Agency’s mandate.
Dr. Abubakar called for stronger collaboration with key stakeholders, particularly the Social Media Team, to ensure the effective implementation of the Agency’s programmes. She noted that such partnerships are vital in expanding the reach and impact of educational initiatives across the state.
She further reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that the Agency’s programmes reach all parts of Kano State, pledging to intensify efforts toward broadening access to mass education for residents.
In his remarks, the leader of the Social Media Team, Rislanu Muhiyi Junaid, stated that their visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and support the promotion of the Agency’s activities. He highlighted the synergy between the Agency’s mission and the role of social media in raising awareness and educating the public.
Junaid added that both the Agency and the Social Media Team share a common objective of enlightening citizens and fostering sustainable community development in Kano State.
The training initiative forms part of the Agency’s broader strategy to empower communities with knowledge and practical skills, thereby promoting social stability and sustainable development across the state.
