Dawakin Tofa LGA Approves Over ₦9 Million Support for Sponsored Students

The Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, Alhaji Anas Mukhtar Bello Danmaliki, has approved the release of funds to settle key academic expenses for students sponsored by the local government across various tertiary institutions.
Under the approval, a total sum of Nine Million, Four Hundred and Fifty-Two Thousand Naira (₦9,452,000) has been earmarked to support the students in paying essential academic fees, including indexing fees, registration fees, and hostel accommodation charges.
As part of the intervention, the Chairman approved the payment of ₦6,200,000 for 71 students to cover their indexing fees at the Kano State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Bebeji, as well as the School of Hygiene, Kano.
Similarly, the Chairman approved the release of ₦2,752,000 for students sponsored by the local government at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, to cover their NCE II registration fees and hostel accommodation.

In addition, the Chairman also approved the payment of ₦500,000 to cover indexing fees for six (6) students studying at the Bichi Academy College of Health Sciences and Technology, who are also beneficiaries of the local government’s scholarship scheme.
In a statement issued by the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Scholarship Secretary, Auwal Ibrahim Galadima, the initiative was described as part of the ongoing efforts of the local government administration to promote education and support young people in acquiring quality knowledge and professional skills for the benefit of society.
