Kano NNPP Chair Hails Online Journalism as Essential

The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Hon. Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, has described the formation of the Kano Online Media Chapel as timely and highly commendable.

He gave the remarks while receiving the chapel’s executive members during a courtesy visit to the NNPP State Secretariat. Dungurawa urged them to work as a united team with dedication and resilience, noting that success in any new venture requires hard work and consistency.

Dungurawa emphasized that online journalism is now essential in the rapidly evolving media landscape but advised practitioners to uphold professionalism, ethics, and respect for rights and reputations.

He further encouraged the chapel to diversify its operations for sustainability and assured them of the NNPP-led government’s readiness to partner with online media in publicizing policies and programmes for the state’s development.

Earlier, Chairman of the Kano Online Media Chapel, Comrade Abubakar Abdulkadir Dangambo, explained that the visit was to formally introduce the new executives and called on politicians to strengthen collaboration with online media to improve public communication. He reaffirmed that journalists remain guided by the Constitution and do not engage in political bias.
